Our scriptures advocotes doing one’s duty without the desire for any result (nishkama karmam). But then why our slokas, stuthis, sutras etchave ‘phalasruthi’ at the end which says if you chant it so many times you will get this result and so on and so forth. It tends to malign the mind

A beginner starts studying for positive results.
He may ask, “if there is no benefit why I should read it?”.
Our intelligent Masters knew this human tendency and hence they included it.
But as the seeker advances, he knows that the result is much better than what he could ever imagine.
