The Mahabharata was written, as we all know, by Sage Vyasa. However, at the beginning of the story, it is said that he calls Ganapati to be his scribe. Why does such an eminent sage of his calibre require a scribe to write the entire Mahabharata when he can do it very easily himself? And, why did that scribe have to be Ganapati and not anybody else?
