Hari Om !!! Namaskaramas . During todays (14th Aug) telecast of Bhagavathamrutam Swamiji made a reference to doing archanas in temples for an individual quoting his/her name and nakshatrram. Swamiji also mentioned that this act amounts to drawing a line of separation form God. So is it alright if we do the archanas in the diety’s name ? For example, Mahaganapathy Atham or Sri Murugan, Vishakham. In some temples they perform the archanas in the name of Swamy or Devi. I feel an explanation on the significance will benefit all viewers. The new arrangement of the Question Answer session is exceptionally beneficial to all Pranams and Prayers Rajan Viswanathan

Dear Rajan,
All these rituals are meant for bringing your attention to the Lord. Once you are focused on the Lord, think about Him. Through Scriptures you understand that God is your own Chaitanyam and is inseparable from you. Then you have to experience or feel his presence in you through meditation.
