Beloved Swamiji, some people are donating their eyes, internal organs , even whole body to medical college, after death. Is it correct, as per our traditions ? We have to cremate the body , after the rituals, as per tradition. The Dehi ( Atma) leaves the Deham ( Body) and what is left is “jadam”. It is waste and to be disposed . But we give respect to the body, the same way we respected the dead person, when he was alive. Can we take it this way ? If the dead person’s wish was to donate the body to hospital, is it not correct to follow it ? Your kind advise on this matter requested.

Since we are not the body but very much the mind ,why can’t we give the organs to someday after death?
We should elevate our mind before we lose the body. Even if somebody lose some limps their mind survives.
Then why can’t one donate the limps for some one who will get an opportunity to enjoy their life?
In other way, I think one can live more through others when we donate our organs.
