Dear Swamiji, Can having sex have any impact on the quality of meditation? why are so called Godman falling a victim of womanizing? Regards Soman

It is the Vasanas or strong impressions that influence the mind and lead to karma.
Sex is part of nature and without sex, there is no creation.
Our many Rishis were married.
It is not sex, but the craving for sex that troubles the seeker. Suppression will also not help you. Unless one’s cravings drop, do not adopt Sannyasam.
As far as the scandals are concerned, they may be either fabricated or exaggerated, we can’t say.
Even if there is some Truth, realize, that our Ancestors had a very broad minded approach towards life.
Here, a thief like Ratnakara could become a Sage.
Understand, this kind of victimization is the by-product of a semantic culture where philosophers and scientists were murdered by a doubtful society.
Truthfulness to oneself is more important than impressing others. Every seeker has a unique path to tread, which no one else can imitate.
A seeker may have to suppress or express or experience to completely erase a vasana from his mind. Until then he/she can not become free from it. His action must free him from a craving, that is more important.
Ultimately what matters is a pure mind free from all cravings and aversions to realize the Higher Self.
At the same time, a Guru or Acharya must ‘walk the talk’ too.
