Why do our Hindu God and Goddess carry weapons in their hand? What do they denote?
Posted by Revathy on February 3, 2014
They are not Gods, these are all symbolic representation of human mind.
Every mind carries good and negative as well as positive thoughts.
If a body part is affected by a fatal disease, then you need a surgery for removing that part from the whole.
Taking the same concept into mind, to remove all the negative and destructive thoughts, you need a mental surgery.
These weapons denote the tools for that surgery. They are the positive powerful transformative thoughts.
