My heartfelt respects to you Swamiji. My question is how much ever i listen to your preachings, why is it that my mind gets affected whenever someone behaves harshly with me or shouts at me. Why do i become sad? I tell myself many times all this should not affect me, everything is temporary, but then also i become depressed. How can we control our mind so that others behaviour and attitude towards us does not affect us. Pranam Swamiji.

Dear Lalitha,
This regret on our own short comings is a good sign of spiritual growth. Realize that you are the product of past memories of the culture you have developed.
Your eagerness to create a positive, creative and undisturbed mental condition and the spiritual practices should go simultaneously.
At the seat of your meditation, daily pray to the Lord who resides in your heart as Chaithanyam to get the strength of patience, so that the mind becomes a glass instead of a mirror.
The mirror will reflect; but the glass will let go!
