Hare Krishna, Pranamam swamiji. I have a problem which is worrying me a lot. We are brahmins and my son wants to marry a non brahmin hindu girl.. I objected to it first but i have been hearing your speeches for past few months and i felt everyone is the same within. You have been a guru to me and i want your kind help in this too swami. The girl has good bhakthi and my son says that castes should not be considered as they just represent occupation. Please help me on this swamiji. I expect your guidance during this troublesome time swami.. please enlighten me.. Is mon son right ? Should i consider castes or not swami ? Please reply..

I suggest, if the girl has a devotional mind and caring nature, respect her culture more than her caste.
Mere birth in an upper caste does not qualify you.
Veda Vyasa was born to a ‘lower’ caste woman and He is honoured by all the Acharyas.
