Vedanta promotes dispassion whereas bhuddism extols compassion. Is both contradictory or can one be dispassionately compassionate?

If you want a peaceful, happy and loving life you should keep both dispassion and compassionate.
For example, we have two hands – one practises dispassion ( the left washes all dirt from body ).
Similarly when you refuse to become miserable you are dispassionate ( you have washed out all negative filth from mind) now follow the right hand which share food to body and service to others.
when you share good and care others with words and service you are compassionate. So follow your right and left hands as you need both.
