Om as Ekakshari Mantra can be added to any mantra for chanting without changing its nature. Hari Om.

Namaste how to take ekadhasi vrutham. Should we avoid grains wheat rice and pulses. In net it’s given too avoid onion and garlic .why should we avoid onion and garlic on the day of ekadhasi.pls explain

Onion is considered Tamasic and Garlic is Rajasic food as per Ayurveda. Hence both are avoided on Ekadsi/ other Vruthams when your food should be Satwic. Hari Om.

Dear Swamiji the recent incidents in Kerala are very bad and hurt us a lot.Though I am born and brought in Mumbai,people like me always loved and respected our roots in Kerala but these recent incidents related to sabarimala and even other changes in culture dont make us feel good about Kerala and it’s culture any more and we feel more sense of belonging,freedom and respect for our culture here and so we feel more sense of belonging to Mumbai than Kerala.Why is culture degrading so much over there,it is no longer the way our mothers used to describe . Sometimes we feel we don’t want to do anything there ,just sell whatever land we might be having there and stay happily here.I am not saying everybody is like that but it’s changing a lot and in such times, Swamiji people like you are such a relief and try to help a lot.Its such a relief to listen to your talks. pranam swamiji. almost in 90% of the indian family women/girls are always criticized for various things for which they are not directly responsible. Men never make any mistakes is it? if they commit a mistake it is forgiven either because he is “men” or he is the son of the house. everyday i light a lamp in front of god in our pooja room. there is a big vilaku which my mother lights early in the morning, and besides this i will light my vilaku. One day it happened that i woke up early and took bath and lit my vilaku only. ( my mother had gone out of station). my father noticed that main vilaku was not lit. so he came and asked me ” when you were lighting your lamp dint you notice that the main vilaku was not yet lit,you know amma has gone out station right? it is basic sense to do that . This was what he told. For which i replied i dint notice. i was focusing only on what i was doing . truth is i was concentrating. Because i dont separately sit and do meditation, i focus on the work that i do. This is th truth swamiji. But my father is saying, no no, you are simply not bothered about other works , you just do what you are supposed to do. You must also observe around and do other work also. THis is the same line which most of the mother in laws use to complain about their DIL. If a boy or male had done the same thing, they would have simply ignored. There many more instances like this, where women are criticized for mistakes which they dint do. could you please explain about this swamiji.

Hello swamiji, pranam. I used read spiritual books and videos . The more I read , the more I am getting confused. Now I really wish to have someone to guide me. I want to meet my true Guru. I asked every one I know about the truth about life. I got many answers and ideas. Because of the lack of experience , I am always getting illusionized I think. Happiness has become so externally bounded. I don’t know who is God. When you say one must surrender of completely to Lord Krishna . I don’t understand that. For me Lord Krishna is not yet a living experience. I neither want to disbelieve Lord Krishna nor believe Him. I am confused because I am not able to believe anything. I used to believe everything whole heartedly before. Now I am in position , where I am not able to believe or disbelieve. I can only love people only when they do something good for me. Maybe I can act like I love them. But if I feel love towards some one in intense then I feel like I love every one even if they don’t do anything for me. I dont want to go to wrong direction and get hurt n suffer again. I wish either the existence just take me away, I don’t wana live , or let me know whats the right thing I am supposed to do, whats the truth about my life?
