swamiji, my question might be silly and it may not deserve to be answered. After death children do karmas such as velli, sratham for the soul. Will those activities really help the soul to achieve mukthi or is all these done just for satisfaction for those who does all these. It is said to have done in puranas. Please advice swamiji.

Nama Shivaya Swamiji.. I listen to your discourse as and whenever possible on Asianet. had also come for the Discourse when you had come to Nerul My mom has been to vrindavan wiht your group and asked me to listen to you regularly. I stronlgy believe in GOD, but dont agree vit the idea tat GOD resides in the temple. I was not able to communicate my reason for this belief till i heard you. I want you to explain me once again the diffreence in Shiva and Krishna , you have done it. But i am not clear in my head. It is all the power vitin ourselves , if i am not wrong. I would like to explain it to my kids too. Please swamiji.

Dear Jyothi, In Sookshmartham, Krishna and Shiva are the same – Atma or Pure Consciousness. In Sthoolartham, Krishna represents Bhakthi and Shiva represents Vairagya! Krishna diverts our minds from the world through Bhakthi and attracts to the Lord. Shiva sees every thing with a Samabudhi. HariOm!

Namasthe Swamiji, The order of Desavathara is ” matsya,Kurma, varaha etc.but in Bhagavatha ” varaha is the first one .matsya is the fifth one swamiji ,what is “tatwa message” of thisorder ? And also what is the importance or logic of “Avabritha snanam” in Sapthaha Yajam?

Swamij We find Bhagavan Krishna Drives chariot of five horses during Mahabharatha war. And I heard from many people that these horses represents 5 indriyas of human. But in some picture I find only 4 horses. is it a mistake or is there any different meaning for this. pranaam

HariOm! The five horses represent SHABDAM(sound), SPARSHAM(touch), ROOPAM(visible form), RASAM(taste) and GANDHAM (smell). Here SPARSHAM and RASAM can be combined as you have to touch the tongue to know the taste. Hence the Four horses instead of five! HariOm!

Namasthe Acharyaji, Can you please say something about Lord Indra in a scintific and philosophical view. Beacause I dont thing a thinking person can justify them (Devanmar) with their activities. I am sure there will be some philosophical point…..that is preserved for us by our Maha Rishi’s……. Jai Gurudev.

Dear Unni, Indra has different interpretations or meanings in different contexts. He is the leader of Devas. Deva represents sense organs and Ego is the leader of all sense organs. So, Indra represents our own Ego in most of the contexts. HariOm!

swami g , many a times i try to apply the thought given by you . But i get a good start but i could not continou it .i get angry or irritated very fast i try to stop it but could not stop it. please advice me how to over come this problem?

Revered Swamiji, I am from Baroda. I migrated to Gujarat in 1972 and am working with Gujarat Electricity Board, joined as a steno typist and now as Personal Secretary to CMD. I am retiring on 31st Oct. 2011. I am well settled here with my family. There are a very few bondages in this corporeal world still left to be attended to, after retirement, I want to lead a spiritual and meaningful life. Dear Anand, Spend the early morning hours for Nama Japam and Meditation (about 30 minutes to one hour). Listen to discourses for half an hour. Once in a week attend Satsangs. But always be in the constant remembrance of the Lord. HariOm!
