This morning u mentioned that material development wasnot important. Qouting “jnanam tu kaivalyam as well as Rishabhadevas teachings u exhorted listeners to give up the urge for material development as the same was transitory.u also illustrated it by quoting swami Haidas who told Emperor Akbar not allow any one to putup buildings in Vrindavan and to allow it to exist in the same dilapidated and rundown condition it was at that time.There is a criticism against this line of thought as its that of world view and life negation as aganst recent western thought and pre christian greek and roman thought which was of life affirmation.It this which resulted in our country not developing as they did in the west despite our great intellectual ability How do u react to this criticism

Pranam Swamiji, in todays discourse you said Lord Rama was in a great fix as to how to kill brother Laxman because the sage tells him that whoever cums inside should be killed as they were talking some secret. But then u didnt elaborate. How was that problem solved?. With due respects.

Dear Swamiji, Like most people in India, I grew up with the culture of ‘praying’ to God for personal favours. Your good self keeps repeating that we should not ask God for anything but just accept everything that happens to us. So I keep wondering if prayer has any value at all. There are many instances in Hindu mythological stories that God does answer prayers – for example, Krishna coming to Draupadi’s rescue when Dushasana tried to disrobe her and she called to Krishna for help. Can prayer induce God to come to our rescue when we are truly suffering?

Swamiji, I love watching your programme every morning and also your answer to the questions asked (in your website). Every morning I get up very enthusiastically to listen to the Bhagavathamrutham, but I am also worried that one day this will also end. I request your goodself to kindly start off with Bhagavath Geetha and then with Ramayanam and keep on continuing like that, so that we all are enlightened every day and TV is the only channel, easily accessible and can be watched daily.
