ANSWERS

Hello, I am a 19 yr old girl and someone who has always thought that what happens to me is a result of my actions.. quite exactly what comes as the moral in bhagwad gita and bhagavatham that you explain in Asianet every morning. I am also aware of the fact that in the ancient days the saints wrote these scriptures to instill a way of life among people. God was a medium of fear – because of which people began behaving in a particular way. May be this knowledge is the reason why I don’t believe in GOD – but I believe in karma, doing good things and how life, like a boomerang that brings back the consequences of our actions in some or the other form. Do I still need to get into spirituality and chant the god’s name? I am interested into knowing the meaning behind these books (learning the logical part) that our forefathers have written, but don’t want to believe in the hypothetical part of the story – GOD. Plz help me seek an answer.. I am still exploring.

Swamiji Hari Om Iam 25 Years old and Iam doing CA Final. I frequently hear your discourses and Iam a great admirer of it. It altogether changed my way of thinking. It also helped clear many of my misconceptions and delusion which existed in my mind earlier. Today I make it a point to hear your discourses everyday for 30 minutes in TV. Swamji the course which Iam doing is one of the toughest course in India. Earlier when I wrote the exams I Flunked. When the results were out this time two days back I have cleared half of the papers. Iam Not overwhelmed nor having a feeling of ecstasy . Iam trying to take success and failure both with a stable mind. Once I Complete my studies and get a job I will definitely be associated with your work. I would like to learn about meditation to control my mind. Looking forward for your guidance always.

swamiji,i have been disturbed for a long time because i have not been able to decide which is correct and which is wrong;the doubt is-if any of the elders tell us to do something which we feel is wrong should we do it? will it be allright if we tell them our opinion or should we keep quiet ? please reply.

Dear Laitha, If you can convince them positively, then they may accept. If they won’t accept with a smiling face, do it even though you feel it is wrong to displease them; once they feel happy, then put some suggestions. Your right decisions should not be forcefully implemented on them.
