You need brain friendly food and exercises to develop good intellect. Our ancient practice of ‘Ethamidal’ in front of Lord Ganesha is in fact a very good exercise of sharpening your intellect. Regular meditation will relax your mind and hence clear your intellect too. HariOm!

Pranam Guruji, You have explained very lucidly ‘ How to connect to God”. While you have given the steps and explained through practice each one of us can connect to God. Now one more doubt or question for the Guru from the seeker in me. Is there any other way to connect to God. I am asking this because so many priests come and extort money in the name of being agents of God and by doing some Pujas and Homams they say you will get moksha, prosperity. Further they also create and exploit fear in you by stating that if you dont do the pooja and homams as instructed by them you and your family would perish. I know for sure that they first sow fear in you and then exploit you fear phobia of future castrophe in the family and cooly extort money from your pockets. This phenomena of extortion though very clear to the mind, but many ignorants in the family fall for this ruse and part with lakhs of rupees. In my family recently I saw such an event where in the priest walked away with over Rs. two laksh for Marriage related homas and some vedic chanting. He was greedy, avarice and when I did not part with further Rs one lakh as demanded by him, he ridiculed me in the midst of chanting mantras. He was vey casual , his members were playing with electric gadgets and was passing crude vulgar jokes in the midst of chanting . How can we reform the ignorant members who fall ruse to such methods of the priest.

When you have understood the truth yourself, follow what your wisdom advises. There are many ignorant people who do not realize it. Your own Sadhana and meditation makes you a positive influence to others. That is the only way you can guide others. HariOm!

Beloved Swamiji, some people are donating their eyes, internal organs , even whole body to medical college, after death. Is it correct, as per our traditions ? We have to cremate the body , after the rituals, as per tradition. The Dehi ( Atma) leaves the Deham ( Body) and what is left is “jadam”. It is waste and to be disposed . But we give respect to the body, the same way we respected the dead person, when he was alive. Can we take it this way ? If the dead person’s wish was to donate the body to hospital, is it not correct to follow it ? Your kind advise on this matter requested.
