Pranaams Swamiji I was at the Ramayaa Sapthaham in Coimbatore, and thankful for yet another oppurtunity to be among the blessed ones. Also Sorry fo your bad throat, hope you get well soon.Swamiji, pardon me for putting across the below feelings, which in fact I felt many among the serious devotees also agree, which they feel should be avoided. The comments like, mother-n -law, husband wife relationships , those on Lalu Prasad Yadav !!!!etc., were totally out of place during such a discourse. They were quite repeatedly brought, losing valuable time , which could have otherwise been used for more detailed discussions on the RAMAYAN,or BHAGAVATHAM. On Asianet already there is a pausity of time and I for one feel this could be avoided. I really don’t know if my thoughts are right and if wrong do correct me.

Respected Swamiji, Chapter 2, Sloka 47 of the Bhagavad Gita talks about the duty of a person. It also mentions that “we should not be instrumental in making our actions bear fruit”. I have a question on this. What is really meant by that sentence? If I am working in a company and I am looking for a promotion, shouldn’t I be doing all that is necessary to get promoted? What should a person’s approach be in such situations? Regards, Ananth.

Dear Ananthji, Understand, every action will produce some result. But most of us worry over the expected result and this spoils the perfection of the performance. Hence our expectation is not fulfilled. So in order to get the result one should drop the worries and involve in performance. HariOm!

At Geeta Discource at Mulund, Mumbai, Guruji stated that as per Kapila Muni, The jeevatma enters the body through top of head and after three months chooses to become either a Male or Female. Medically they say Male produces X and Y chromes while Female has Y chormes. If male discharges X chromes it becomes a male and if it discharges Y chromes and as per medical facts the male determines the sex based on what he dischares. Now since you are scientific in your approach there seems to be variation in the medical findings and what Kapila had stated on Sex determination of a Child. Can you share your views to dispel what is correct ?

Dear Narayanji, You are right, now ask who desires the discharge of ‘x’ or ‘y’ chromes. Is it the body or some thing else? Similarly the body can’t decide that the child should be a male or female, some other factors are involved. HariOm!

If creation is made by God, why so much cruelty. In the case of human being can become vegetarian and avoid cruelty. But some animals naturally kill other animals for food. If God is merciful, why such cruelty in creation? Hari Om!

Dear Satheesanji, God is not a creator according to Hinduism, but the Self (param athma) in every one. The reason for the cruelties are mainly because human mind discards the power of love and cultivate the strength of hatred. Unless the mind transforms, there won’t be any changes. HariOm!

Hari Om. Pranams Swamiji, I am a 12th std. student. I regularly listen to your upadesha and also try to implement the principles of Bhagavad Gita in my day to day life.I have been in this spiritual process right from my childhood since my mother inculcated in me this Advaita knowledge and saw to it that I implement it in my life. This has helped me in overcoming many bad qualities which existed in me. But I have a doubt. That is, when we go in outside world,we meet different types of people. I also have many classmates who are treading on the wrong path. My conscience never agrees to follow the herd instinct. Swamiji how to deal with these people when they talk about such bad things to me which doesn’t interest me at all and how to affirm myself? Hari Om. Pranams.
