Dear Swamiji. I am very impressed with the explanations that Krishna gives Arjuna on almost every topic that a man goes through in his lifetime. Like the idea of the soul being indestructive and the changing of clothes metaphor. But where is the proof for all of this. On one hand, I admit that its the most rational or reasonable explanation one could come up with but where is the proof for all of this. Even if this is written /said by some of the smartest minds of those times(Krishna). But there are chapters where Science predominates in Gita, like the brain development of a child that begins in the womb, but I think when it comes to more spiritual things, are we supposed to believe what Krishna says because he has substantiated the other parts with credible evidence. Please clarify this for me.

Namasthe swamiji………..before 6 months my father in law was admitted in a hospital following a chest infection. later it was developed into severe pneumonia….his condition became the worst…and was advised to give ventilation support etc………but one of the doctors was against it and and he took a risk that was to continue the icu facilities ….. ..it was a wonder that after some time fthr ‘s condition was better and he was discharged from the hospital after one week…. at the age of 85 he is leading a normal life with negligible discomforts……….. my brother in lw ie younger son of that father said to me that he has made an offering to ettumanoorappan ….108 pradakshinams …..to save the life of his father….and believed that …..ettumanoorappan saved him………it was an advice by a jyothsyan……swamiji what is the logic behind this……..is it possible…..i am totally confused and couldn’t be convinced…….kindly give an answer

Thanks for all your wonderful answers, why is that during our daily activities we forget the real truth so many times and easily react to all the lies around us. There are moments when I have realised the real truth about what really matters like for example that how death is going to come to all of us one day so I must live each moment well without wasting time and energy thinking and arguing about trivial things, about how negative talks really don’t matter if they are false unless we identify with it, about God’s kindness which we experience in our life so much but as we go about our daily life outside and at work, somehow all the superficial things matter like our money, status or our body which will surely deteriorate and perish over a period even the status of the school we put our toddler matters so much and we can’t help but react to all these because some how we identify with it .Is it really possible to know, understand and live in the truth even as we live through our ordinary life playing different roles and coming across different challenges and negativities,what are the steps to be taken for it and how to have the real discipline to follow the steps regularly.I feel sometimes life seems great and mysterious but other times life feels so empty and depressing and all the truths that we know, hear or read seems good but impractical. How do I over come these thoughts.Thanks very much
