Dear Praveen Kumar, Sreevalsam is the symbol of patience and Kausthubham is the symbol of prosperity (behavour). Sreevalsam appears in a story in Bhagavatham when Bhrigu Maharshi stamped on the chest of Mahavishnu with his foot (to test HIS patience) and the so-created mark was called “Sreevalsam”.
