Dear Sudha Balan, They are the physical, mental and intellectual levels changes (vikaras) Physical – birth, growth, ageing, diseases, old age and death. Mental – happiness, misery, pain, loss, memory and forgetfulness. Intellectual – analysis, synthesis, ego and inquisitiveness.

Is there something called a good thought or a bad thought ? As I understand any thought is just a thought. A good thought for me might be a bad thought for other person. Who sets these definitions? Is it the society or our mind itself based on what we see and hear or is it the scriptures?

Dear Parameswar, The mind developed through different cultures decides the good and bad according to the situation and past impressions.

Respected Swamiji, While answering a question re Panch Pranas, Swamiji has mentioned Apana as upward Prana and Udana as downward. I was under the belief that Apana is downward from navel to the feet and Udana upward from throat to head. I have heard of five Upavayus also. In this, it is said that in those who are enlightened,the Dhananjaya Vayu , leaving after death may be seen as a light going heavenwards. After Bagwan Ramana Maharshi’s samadhi, Paul Brensson, a renowned French photographer, who was in Arunachala, has reported seeing it ,as also a disciple of Maharshi in Lucknow and my wife’s aunt in Trichur. Dear Bhavani, Unless the mind becomes free from thoughts, with the regular practice of balancing mind, you can not lift your mind to the higher spiritual energy. For beginners, learn to develop patience and politeness in your behaviour. Do your regular sadhana.

Dear swamiji, as i experiance chaithanyam when i place my mind on the heart chakra i keep my concentation there always during my house hold work also. Is it the right method to remember god in daily activities OR am i on the wrong path?

According to Vethathiri Maharshi ‘s yoga which i am following by placing the mind at any chakra for some time one experiances the unity with the divine and i have experianced this. but swamiji ,according to you we are limiting he presence of god to to a particular point in the body.
