Let him do Pranayama and AUM chanting before studying. Regular meditation will help him become peaceful and aware. HariOm!
Recite the Namam that makes your mind involved completely. It is not what you chant, but how you chant that purifies your mind. HariOm!
It is advisable to sit in a silent and tranquil place to meditate. Please take long and deep breaths with AUM chanting. Then listen to the CD ‘Geethanubhuthi’ in a low volume with closed eyes. HariOm!
Please practise with much more involvement . When you see light it is excellent, now try to experience the one who sees the light. HariOm!
