Dear Swamiji, Brahmin’s death ceremony is on 12th and Nairs on 16th. But now a days most of the nair karayogam decided to conduct this on 12th as they have no time to wait further 4 days. We used to say “pathinaru adiyanthiram”. which is reduced to 12th day. They decided without discussing with priests and since “pula” ends only on 16th, is there any logic in conducting this on 12th. More over on 16th when “sapinnikaranam” is done, we chant narayaneeyam and vishnu sahasranamam at the time of uniting departed father or mother with their ancestors in pithru loka (bhuvar loka). Can we chant narayaneeyam and vishnu sahasra namam on 12th day when “pula” is prevailing. Pls advs..

Dear Guruji,thanks a ton for your blessings and beautiful,soulful answers and guidance.I know the fact that any Guru can only show you the path but we have to do it, experience it for the knowledge to be ours.But I find so many obstacles on my path maybe due to my inherent emotional weaknesses.I wish you could guide me to tackle them. For most part of my life upto now, I feel I have been a people pleaser maybe due to the hidden low self worth in me,other people’s opinions and views affect me a lot at times.At times I do apply wisdom and have experienced a bit the liberation and proximity to the Divine spirit it gives but at other times I get swayed a lot by other people’s opinions,views etc.Why does this knowledge or wisdom not stay with me all the time and why does my emotions overshadow this wisdom may be due to lack of sadhana I feel.I tried yoga and suryanamaskar they helped a lot to silence my surge of emotions but I am not able to do that also regularly due to other morning work.Please do guide me on how to deal with it and the kind of sadhana that I should practice to remove these obstacles.I am grateful to every guidance of your answers.
